    I have never been the person to get involved in gyms or fitness in general but I got to the point where I needed a change and Matt and his staff made it a very non threatening and welcoming environment to get my foot in the door.

    I was able to get into the routine by choosing classes and times that worked for me with the help of Matt. Now I've been going on a regular basis and feel the support the You4ia team with constant checking and modifications for where I am at in my fitness journey and have never been asked to push myself past something that could lead to injury.

    I first met Matt when he was running You4ia PT sessions at the Airport West footy club. After having my first baby (who is now almost 7!) I saw an ad on Facebook and sent a message. I am SO glad I did - Matt is so passionate, knowledgeable and kind.

    He was so supportive and flexible in terms of bringing Darcy along with me to sessions, and even came to my home at times to make it easier for me to make sure I got those workouts in. He varied the sessions to make them interesting, challenging and fun, but most importantly, he showed a genuine interest in me and my family. Darcy has really grown to idolise Matt, and he now talks about wanting to be strong and healthy, "maybe I could go to Matt's gym!"

    I started working with You4ia 6 months ago because I was feeling sluggish and tired all of the time. I hadn’t trained in over 15 years so I was naturally a bit nervous.

    I have been training with Matt weekly for about six months now, I love his approach to fitness and movement. He is so encouraging and positive. I am in my 50s and had some issues with inflammation and felt my body seizing up and gaining weight. With Matt’s help and a change of diet I have now lost some weight and moving so much better. The inflammation in my body has also reduced.

    Matt works around any niggly issues I have such as shoulder or lower back and changes my workouts so as not to aggravate them. There is always something else we can do to work around any of those problems and still keep moving.

    I can’t thank Matt enough for the help and support he has give me this year with my fitness goals. Oh and by the way, even though it’s all business in the gym we can still have a laugh and have some fun while working out too!!

    This may sound dramatic, but Matt and You4ia Health have changed my life!

    After my first conversation with Matt I knew that our values aligned, and that this wasn’t going to be another one of my short lived attempts at living a healthier lifestyle. Matt focuses on creating better habits in the long term and has provided me with every possible tool to do so, from nutrition to exercise to shifting my mentality and everything in between. This is the first time (after A LOT of attempts) I have stuck to anything health related for so long, and actually see myself continuing on with in the future.

    Matt knows exactly how to challenge you in the best way possible and that is evident in the huge progress I have seen in both my workouts and day to day life, where I feel less fatigued, able to do more whilst struggling less, and have so much more confidence in doing things I wouldn’t have previously done.

    My biggest challenge during this journey has been my motivation and mindset and Matt is constantly working on those struggles with me, helping me towards my many goals and to achieve consistency. Nothing is ever too much of an ask at You4ia Health and I’ve never once felt like I am on this journey alone which I love! Like I said, it’s not just about the exercise side of things, and that is what sets Matt and You4ia health apart from the rest!     Post baby I was so nervous about getting back into movement, but he made it so easy and enjoyable! And he helps keep my tiny human distracted during the session.
    He’s such a kind and gentle human but still gives you the push and assertiveness you need to get the workout done. The perfect mix of firm but fair!

    With Matt the journey isn't just training focused, its the WHOLE approach to a healthy life. Its focusing on balance, training, food education and motivation. He has motived me to create better eating habits, and is pushing me in the right directions with motivation and guidance ( and with my permission - some reward based accountability tasks)

    I started training with Matt at the beginning of this year because I needed/wanted to learn to how to be consistent with training and nutrition as I have never committed fully. Matt has been such an important factor in my training progress as he is supportive and encouraging always and also focuses on mental health which is super important. Working with Matt the last 6-7 months has also allowed me to gain confidence to start back at a gym and i now train 3-4 times a week as well as a weekly PT session and i find my self making better food choices (even if i fall off balance sometimes) which has helped show amazing results physically, mentally and emotionally.
